A person from my residency is in that group and I have never heard anything bad.  I believe it is a great group.

I heard this group was 100% owned and run by radiologists. Relatively democratic, etc. Is this still true?

A former fellow of mine went to that residency. His feedback was that the group made a lot of money, but they worked very hard and read a ton of studies to make it. Who knows if this still true though.

pirate, the job posting I saw says it is physician owned and there wasn’t any fine print included to indicate otherwise. always wonder about job postings like this with high pay and not knowing exactly how much they’ll want/expect you to work once you’re actually there … or if they give you the boot before partnership.
 
miller, do you know how long your former co resident has been with the group? are they a partner? do they like savannah/was your residency in the south?

I don’t know anything about the group but I do know there is no such thing as a free lunch. If they are advertising a very high salary you should know that the answer to the question “how much they’ll want/expect you to work once you’re actually there” is “a lot”. 
 
You have to decide what kind of job you want. There is nothing inherently wrong with a high volume high pay job but many radiologists aren’t looking for that kind of stress at work.

What is the volume and vacation? This sounds high for a group of this size covering IR.
