[u][b]Opening for 2022-2023 Abdominal Imaging Fellowship University of Pittsburgh Medical Center[/b][/u]
The Division of Abdominal Imaging at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has a position for an Abdominal Imaging fellow from July 2022-23. This is a comprehensive training opportunity combining an excellent case mix of state-of-the-art diagnostic cross-sectional imaging in all aspects of abdominal and pelvic diseases with a focus on MRI. Trainees completing the 1-year non-ACGME fellowship starting July 1, 2022 will become proficient in interpretation of abdominal and pelvic MRI, CT and US and gain competency in performing all types of percutaneous biopsies and drainages of the neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis.
The applicant must be eligible for obtaining an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license, DEA, a US citizen or have appropriate visas and have completed an ACGME accredited radiology residency.
Training takes place at the academic hub in the heart of Pittsburgh where the Abdominal Radiology division performs over 200,000 imaging and diagnostic procedures a year, and specializes in a large array of clinical areas including oncology, trauma, organ transplantation and hepatic and pancreaticobiliary and genitourinary diseases. Fellows get personalized daily teaching during daily readouts and enjoy biweekly dedicated conferences focused on learning abdominal and pelvic MRI, transplant and bowel imaging and participate in tumor boards. Teaching opportunities and academic time will be provided.
