Yikes.  USA Today/Gallup has Mccain up by ten, 54/44.  Don’t believe that for a second.

Gallup tracking has them up by 2.

    The others are tied.

Well, I predicted the race would be tied by this weekend four months ago.  So far, so good.

I am starting to feel that the wild swings in the polls may just indicate how non-scientific they really are.  However, the the republican convention and Palinmania, you would expect some bump in the polls.  Her funky glasses have apparently become the new sensation and are sold out everywhere, so if you are one of those ebay crooks you might see if you can get your hands on a gross of them.

        The race is basically tied.

Which means the debates mean all the more.
